The Work That Won’t Let You Go
You’ve picked it up and put it down. You’ve named it, made something from it, perhaps even been paid for part of it.
Then you reached a place where bringing more of it into the world would require more of you to be present.
You know what the work is, or you know enough to take the next step.
You also know that another month of thinking about it will leave you in a familiar place.
This intensive brings together up to eight women who are ready to bring the actual place where they stop into the work.
You may need to look at the version of your work that people readily accept and the part you keep elsewhere.
You may need to revisit what happened the last time someone responded to your power, appetite, authority, or subject matter in a way you didn’t know how to meet.
The plan you’ve been calling preparation may also be keeping you at a distance from the move you could make now.

- You can explain your work, yet hear yourself softening it when you speak to the people whose response matters.
- You’ve felt changed by a powerful video teaching, then returned to a life organized around the same delay.
- You keep telling yourself you’ll move after the trip, after the relationship settles, after you have the language, after you feel steady enough to be seen.
- You’ve been willing to research, prepare, and understand. Now you want to see what happens at the moment you have to carry what you know.

Bring one real threshold: something you’re withholding, a moment that made you retreat, a decision you keep moving into the future, or a part of your work you’ve been presenting separately from the rest.
Naima will work with what each woman brings.
The intensive will stay close to the details: where your account of the problem is true, where it’s incomplete, and what becomes possible when you can meet more of what’s actually happening.
Each woman will have direct working time with Naima.
You’ll also witness the work of other women carrying consequential bodies of work.
Their situations will differ from yours, and what becomes visible in one woman’s work may help you recognize something in your own.
You’ll leave having chosen a specific next move and having named the place you’re likely to pull back.
That move may be public.
It may be something you say, a boundary, or a decision about how you’re carrying your work.
The work deserves more than another promise to yourself that you’ll get to it.

Each woman will bring one real threshold and receive direct working time with Naima.
Come willing to speak honestly about your own situation, respect the privacy of the other women, and choose a move that belongs to you.
Naima will review each application and email the women she can offer a place.
Payment instructions will follow acceptance.
A place is secured when payment is complete.
